A typical Sunday at Rawls
Arrival: Visitors are Rawls Baptist Church enjoy special parking spaces close to the church entrance. These parking spaces are located on the right side of the building and marked with Visitor Parking signs.
Have kids? No problem! Rawls offers Children’s Church (a.k.a Disciple Land) for children ages kindergarten to 5th grade, as well as nursery for infants-pre-K. Bring your nursery-aged child to the second floor nursery before the start of the service. Your older children should stay with you through the beginning of the service until they are dismissed with the Children’s Church leader.
Music: At the beginning of each service, we join together in singing several hymns accompanied by piano and organ. Expect to hear mostly traditional hymns, along with some contemporary music. The RBC choir will often share a special musical piece as well.
Tithes and offerings: We believe it is important to support the local Church with tithes and offerings as that is what God has called us to do. Every Sunday we offer an opportunity for the congregation to give back through tithe and offerings. You are welcome to contribute to the mission of the church, though visitors are not expected to do so (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).
Sermon series: Because we believe that all of God’s Word has authority and power over our lives (2 Timothy 3:16), RBC practices expository preaching. Expositional preaching is simply explaining the text within it’s original context, letting the text speak for itself as we examine it verse-by-verse and book-by-book.
What to wear: Sunday dress at RBC is your preference. Our church members’ attire ranges from smart casual to suit and tie.
