Worship

Rawls Baptist Church believes that our worship is to draw our focus upon God. God calls us into worship both in our daily lives and during times of corporate worship. Romans 12:1 informs us that presenting ourselves as a sacrifice before God is spiritual worship. There is something unique about God’s people gathering to collectively honor Him. When we come together, we unashamedly call the church to respond to God’s revealed greatness. Our worship services are centered on the Word of God, and we never go far from celebrating what Jesus has done for us on the cross and through the resurrection. We sing a variety of hymns and praise songs. Our worship also involves the expository preaching through books of the Bible, allowing God to drive His truth deep into our lives so that we can be transformed by His grace to become more like Christ. In every aspect of worship, our desire is for those who believe in Christ to passionately participate in worshiping Him.

Psalm 95:1 “O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord, Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.”

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”

Hebrews 10:25 “Not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”
